minneapolis wedding

It was only a matter of time. Now that we have 2 little aliens all our own we feel irresistibly drawn to photographing children and their owners.

This ain’t your Mom’s JCPenny’s portrait. This is your baby age 1 day to 18 years. Authentic. Real. Day-in-the-life style.

Drop by the newly launched Studio306kids and let us know what you think.

Like all of your other photos, the kids’ pictures are great! I have to say that I’ve become addicted to your blog and I’m always excited to see new things. I’m not married and don’t have kids yet, but when the time comes, I will be giving you a call!

Michael + Michelle

February 19th, 2006

We met Michael in the lobby of the Radisson hotel riverfront in Saint Paul.
He was anxiously waiting for Michelle to arrive. She finally appeared from the elevator in a velvety cape and and they both started laughing and crying.
Friends and family looked on with smiles and joy.

We had just enough light left to run across the street and take a few photos along the walkway before heading to the Wabasha Street Caves for the ceremony and reception.

Jen + Jr

February 12th, 2006

Jen + Jr’s wedding was wonderfully unique.

Jen’s mother performed the ceremony at sunset at Gibbs Farm in St. Paul. We were surrounded by prairie and all of Jen + Jr’s friends and family.

After the ceremony Jen + Jr were lead down a path via mariachi band to the barn. This was a wonderful October day complete with piñatas, jack-o-lanterns, great food, and last but not least….a square dance!

Yee Haw! It’s hip to be square!

I feel very forward asking this, but as my wedding is going to be at Gibbs, I would love to see more photos, especially of the barn inside. I’m trying to get ideas for decorations.

Uber Artist James

February 11th, 2006

A special thanks to fellow artist and photographer James Church.
James worked with us at many weddings during 2005. His artistic eye and contribution was inspiring and invaluable.

More photos of James in action here.

James is one of those unique people that transitions between mediums with grace and style. He is a photographer, he creates beautiful multimedia presentations, and if that weren’t amazing enough he is an accomplished, very talented bronze sculptor. Check out his work at www.studiochurch.com. Thank you James for your talent and all your hard work.
